NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis. At this time, hospitality venues in England are not allowed to open but can operate takeaway and delivery services, providing that any takeaway alcohol is pre-ordered. Details of takeaway and delivery services may appear on this page if we become aware of them.

Before visiting any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

Built in 1886 as the Marlborough Head, becoming the Dog & Trumpet in 1974, later a Firkin pub and since 2001 a deceptively large Irish (but not Oirish) pub, very handy for Regent Street. In particular, check out the stained-glass skylight above the eating area and the oak/tile mix on the floor. Important sports matches (including Gaelic football) may be shown on the two big screens. Do not attempt the breakfasts on your own.

Note that the licence does not permit alcohol sale before 10am.
