NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery.

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

We can't wait to welcome you back to the pub on Monday 12th April!

We have plenty of outdoor seating so give us a call if you want to book a table for lunch or dinner to celebrate your new found freedom!

Reopening: 2021-04-12

About the Pub

Traditional 18th-century thatched village inn, originally a house dating from 1772, now with a front bar and dining room, inglenook fireplace, back bar, billiards room, and a patio and large garden to the rear for alfresco dining and drinking.

A genuine free house serving three ales, one regular and two changing (normally at least one of which is from a local brewer) plus a real cider.

There is a good food offering with as much as possible locally sourced, and freshly prepared by the chef, who is the owner's son.

Families, walkers and four-legged friends welcome.
