NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Under this stage of the roadmap in England pubs can only open outdoor areas and many will only be open for customers who have pre-booked. Alcohol can now also be sold for takeaway, as well as delivery

But please be aware that opening hours and services may be different to those displayed here. Before visiting or ordering from any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

About the Pub

This traditional two-bar community pub is situated in the heart of the village and has a comfortable lounge bar and a dining room.

Outside, the old fire station, complete with historic memorabilia, serves as the pub's sports bar and function room.

Two ales are typically served from a variety of breweries, with ales from Old Dairy and Goodys being particularly popular. . A third ale may be available during busy times. Occasionally a mild from the Wantsum brewery is featured. In the summer, real cider is occasionally served.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two ensuite and one with its own private bathroom.

Great home-made food which includes a good value two-course table d'hote menu (available Monday to Saturday) and occasional themed food evenings. There's also the Lunch Club for those who are likely to eat in the pub on a regular basis.

There is a full events calendar including an Easter beer festival. Monthly events include live music, a quiz night and a clairvoyant evening. A weekly jive class is held on Thursday.

At the back there is a suntrap patio which has a children's play area and petanque pitch.

Dogs are welcome in the old fire station.
